Almond Drink

I've tried plenty of almond drinks that taste watery or have that burnt, dry aftertaste, but this one is genuinely creamy and nutty with a real sweetness that doesn't need added sugar. You can tell the almonds were grown somewhere with actual rain—it makes all the difference in the depth of flavor.

The label claims those Sicilian almonds make a difference, and honestly, I can taste it — this is the first almond drink that doesn’t have that watery, bitter aftertaste. Poured it over my morning granola and it held its own, creamy but not heavy. Now I just wish it came in a bigger carton.

I’ve tried a lot of plant milks, but this one’s got a real nuttiness that isn’t buried under sweetness, and it steams up beautifully in my morning latte. The fact that the almonds are grown in Sicily’s sun and rain instead of some dry patch makes me feel a little better about every glass I pour.
